North Wind’s mission is to increase the supply of affordable housing, empower Indigenous and equity-deserving groups, and support non-market housing providers through culturally grounded, community-driven development. We prioritize Indigenous-led housing and ensure meaningful inclusion of Elders, youth, and 2S+ voices throughout the process.
As Owner’s Representative, North Wind plays a strategic role in facilitating engagement, integrating community feedback into design and delivery, coordinating with Federal, Provincial and City staff and including other funding bodies, managing timelines, budgets, and compliance, all while honoring Indigenous governance. Our expertise spans pre-development planning, funding applications, consultant and contractor management, permitting, and alignment with both Indigenous housing principles and municipal requirements.
